New Version of ACAM Bench Book Available
The ACAM Bench Book was revised on November 20, 2009. It is available free of charge by clicking here. This work explains to judges, lawyers, and parties how they can effectively use masters and other judicial adjuncts to help them and contains sample appointment orders and checklists. You can download your own copy, 3-hole punch it, and place it in a binder. We encourage you to tell the judges in your area about its availability and usefulness.
The Bench Book contains sample appointment orders. Those orders are available in Microsoft Word format for preparing custom versions:
Sample Form Order - Includes language to fit most situations

Sample Appointment Order 2 - Where Master will supervise discovery in a criminal case
Sample Appointment Order 3 - Where Master will serve as mediator in a class action, Pigford v. Glickman, No. 97-1978 (D.D.C. Jan. 4, 2000)
